Blog Post 5: What can we learn from Anthony Capps?

From watching the videos, I learned that it is important to let your job be a fun experience for you. It is a hard job but you have to make it fun and develop skills that make your job easier on you. Also, it's good to be creative with your work and make things interesting in the classroom. While teaching you are trying to keep your student's attention by getting them very engaged in the lesson that you are teaching. One point that I really liked that Anthony talked about was about Steven Cubby 's statement about "starting with the end in mind". This is very true because things are not always going to go as planned; but dont just give up when it doesn't. It's important to still be flexible as well and try different things out that will help you accompish it. Getting all the students engaged is very important because you want them to be motivated to learn new things. Technology is expanding everyday in the world and things are charging rapidly, so it is important to stay up to date with the new technology tools that are out today. I also learned that you should not teach technology in class but use assingments that will have to deal with them using different pieces of technology. This is a good way to combine both by learning the material that is asked and also how to work with technology tools. Also, this helps them learn things on their own about technology and gets them used to the tools that are out there in the world. Of course they are not going to be perfect when using these tools, but giving them different activities that require these tools to be used will help them get better with perfection.
