While watching the videos and slideshows, I learned that there are many different ways that people use to peer edit an individuals work. Some are pushy, loud, mean, off-task, and many more. The best way that I learned to peer edit was be to be positive. When you are editing someone else's work, you have to think about how you would feel if someone was editing your work. It's important for you to be polite and have a very positive attitude when you are editing someone's work. Always start out by using compliments stating whether he or she did well on the assignment. Also, give them helpful suggestions on how to make their work even better. Be specific about what you are correcting on their paper. The main goal is to be very postive when you peer edit other people's work because nobody is perfect!

Project #4: C4T Assignment
I enjoyed reading the blog of Jerrid W. Kruse.
On the 1st post, I learned about the different ways to use technology. It all depends on the way you use it and how creative you are with your ideas. The idea of the post was about how they are changing the old technology system to the new technology system. Not many people were fund of the new change because of all the work you will have to put into changing everything to a whole new system.
My comment: Hello Mr. Jerrid,
I also believe that teachers matter in the world because many of them are so skillful and filled with intelligent knowledge that can help others succeed in the world. I also agree that if we all work together as one to help change the system it can actually be a success.
On the 2nd post, I learned that modeling effective teaching skills have a huge impact on children's decisions for their future career. Children look up to their teachers and they monitor their every move. It is very important for teachers to set good examples for their students. My comment:Hello Mr. Jerrid, I am a student at the University of South Alabama and we are required to comment on your blog for a class that I am taking called EDM310. I think it is really important for teachers to set good examples for the classroom because many students are looking up to them and have high exspectations for their teachers. Teachers have to be very careful about what they do and say around their students because they are always watching.

Blog Post 2: What will Teaching in the 21st Century be Like?
1. After watching the " Mr. Dancealot" video, I learned that you should make sure your students know exactly what is going on in the classroom. Also, if you are demonstrating something in front of the class it is important to make sure everyone can see it. The teacher should have let the students practice together in class to make sure they knew how to do the dance steps. I agree with it because it is important to be well organized as a teacher while teaching a class lesson.
2. After watching the "Teaching in the 21st Century" video, I feel that Robert thinks that teaching in the 21st century is about making sure your students are very independent and knowledgable about the latest technology that is out. He believes that pushing technology more in the classroom is a great source for students to learn. The teacher is not their only source to learn new materials. I feel like Robert is making a good point about teaching because there are more sources out there to learn things rather than just one book. When I become an educator, I feel like the classroom will be more advanced with technology and it will be a must that I use it in my class.
3. After I watched "The Networked Student", I was really impressed on how he did everything on his own without a teacher. Even though he did it all on his own, he still needed the guidance from his teacher to help him succeed through. His teacher was able to give him helpful resources to complete his work. Also, when he was in need of help he could always ask his teacher to help him. This is a good way to help students develop independent learning skills for the classroom.
4. After I watched "Harness Your Students Digital Smarts", I feel that the thesis for this video is that the teacher is not the only source to learning. Technology is a big source for students to learn new materials in the classroom. I really think the video was very helpful because it showed how students can work together and empower each other while they are learning things in class. It also shows how children should be taught to think on their own and express their own ideas. Doing group activities with their classmates can really help develops many skills.
5. After watching "Flipping the Classroom" video, I was really impressed by the video. I really think this is a wonderful idea for students because it prepares them with helpful knowledge before class so they will know what is going on in class the next day. It helps them come prepared and gives them opportunities to ask questions about the lesson the next day. I feel like this approach will be very helpful to my classroom because it will help prepare my students for class and give them extra opportunities to go back and re-watch videos if needed.

Blog Post 1
1. I have heard many crazy things about EDM 310. I've heard that it is loaded with work every week and the assignments are very long. A lot of people say it is very time consuming and requires a lot of hours to complete. I have also heard that if you are taking this course to make sure you don't have a heavy load that semester while taking this class. Another thing I heard about was the different blogs that you will post each week and that you are required to make certain social network accounts such as twitter, facebook, etc.
2. The only fears I have for this class is procrastinating when it comes to turning in my assignments.
3. EDM 310 is very different from all the classes that I have taken in the past. As I viewed over the checklist, I could tell that we are going to be very busy this semester. I also like how it is very organized and easy to understand what to do for each day.
4. I think the most difficult thing for me will be keeping up with all the work that is due each week. Making sure everything is done correctly and on time.
5. I plan to stay very focused and be on top of my game every week. I plan to stay ahead and make sure everything is done correctly and on time.
6. The only question I have is do we have any test in this class.

Practice Post
Hello my name is Sydney Potter. I am currently a junior here at the University of South Alabama.I am also an Elementary Education major. I was born and raised in Auburn, Alabama and I have lived there pretty much all my life. I am an only child. I attended Auburn High School where I played volleyball for three years. I really enjoy spending time with my family and friends, traveling the world, cook, playing volleyball, going fishing, and shopping.
My main goals in life are to graduate with a B.S and also go to graduate school to get my Masters and Ph.D as well. After a couple of years of teaching I would like to move up and become a principal or assistant principal. From the past few years that I have attended South Alabama I can say that it has really prepared me for things in the future. Education is a big thing in my family and I am very determined to push myself to accomplish my dreams. One of the main reasons why I entered this field is because I have a passion for working with children and helping people succeed in life. I love kids and they bring joy to my heart when I am around them.
